- Ford Fsd 425 Manual Download We have a spare 70ps engine which are told is a good runner the question is could we exchange the engines and fit all the marine parts, turbo, intercooler & yellow spot injectors?? Not sure if the old engine has uprated pistons, bearings etc.

The current engine is basically a transit engine marinised by Mermaid Marine with a turbo & intercooler added rated at 130HP but we are not sure what base engine they have used.
Lancing Marine is a company with many years experience of engine marinising, right back to the BMC 1.5 in the early ‘70s, through the Ford range of petrol and diesel engines, the New Holland tractor engines, and over 60 other engine types, together with the application of those engines to a wide variety of marine transmissions.
We have a spare 70ps engine which are told is a good runner the question is could we exchange the engines and fit all the marine parts, turbo, intercooler & yellow spot injectors?? Not sure if the old engine has uprated pistons, bearings etc.
If we do change the engines would it be better to swap the fuel pumps? or will it be easy to adjust the pump on the new engine to handle the extra power.
Any advice greatly appreciated. We are still having overheating problems with the transit based engine in a boat.
